Demo: Fleet Visibility for Connected Medical Devices

This is the manufacturer's side of a connected device cloud built on BioT. A fleet of 120 devices, spread across 10 customer organizations. It takes about a minute to watch.

What this shows

  • One fleet table holding model, firmware version, rollout ring, operational status and connection state, filterable by device type or by organization.
  • A single device page where the reported firmware version, the battery level and the last check-in time were all published by the device itself over MQTT.
  • Per-device X.509 certificates. Issuing them, rotating them and trusting them sits at the platform layer.
  • Ten customer organizations as ten separate tenants. A hospital sees its own devices and nothing else, because the platform enforces it rather than the user interface hiding it.
  • Fleet analytics computed in BioT's analytics database across the whole fleet, not across one page of results: rollout rings, firmware versions in the field, devices that have never reported, and devices still running a version with a known vulnerability.

What BioT provides, and what stays with you

Everything in this video sits at the platform layer: device connectivity and identity, the data model, tenant separation, firmware distribution, the audit trail, and the standards-based interface out to an EHR. BioT holds the platform-layer certifications by name, including HITRUST r2, SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and ISO 27799, and operates an ISO 13485 certified quality management system with an IEC 62304-compliant Design History File and an SBOM per release.

What stays with you is your device, your intended use, your clinical claims and your regulatory submission. BioT customers have achieved FDA clearance and CE marking on the platform, with the platform-layer evidence supporting the submission.
